Colleen's career background has primarily been focused in the social housing sector. She began her career in social housing, working as a Property Manager with a non-profit housing provider; followed by the position of Housing Advisor in the Housing Programs and Planning Department for the County of Wellington, a local Municipality in Ontario.
Most recently, Colleen worked as the Director of Property Services at Pacifica Housing. She has experience working with housing providers, which includes overseeing the management of large teams and various aspects of operations. Other key areas of focus are board governance, finances, resident relations, development, asset management, interpreting legislation, conducting operational reviews, developing policy and providing housing provider training.
Colleen has a BA in Communication Studies from Wilfred Laurier University and a Business Development and Administration Certificate from Conestoga College.
Colleen has always had a strong connection to nature and animals. It’s been a long-time goal to connect with an organization that not only works with animals in a loving and respectful way, but also works toward healing on an energetic level.
